Biographie:      BOB PANETTA

Biography: BOB PANETTA

Robert, nicknamed Bob by his musical accomplices, was born in Montreal in 1948, had his first guitar at the age of 11 and from the start he loved the sound of this instrument. A few years later, the advent of the British Invasion, from the Beatles to the Rolling Stones, was in full swing in America. He then decided to found his own group, the Mike Jones Group, which was very successful in the mid-sixties. A few years later, he began to take an interest in more sophisticated music such as blues and jazz. During this period, to survive, he accompanied popular French-speaking artists such as Nicole Martin, Steve Fiset and Claire Lepage. Later, he co-founded the Brégent group, a group based on texts by French poets, such as Baudelaire, Prévert and Ferré, and on very avant-garde music. A CD, Poussière des Regrets, was born from this collaboration with the two Brégent brothers: Michel-Georges, composer of contemporary music, and Jacques, poet and storyteller. Since then he will be present in multiple concerts and others with Didier Chasteau in duo, trio, quartet and quintet.
